We would recommend using our 40mm sports grass to any top tier football club looking for the highest quality playing surface. Our 40mm sports can also be installed to create amateur & junior sports pitches as well as a great addition to any school or college looking to promote football within your organisation.

Installation Guide

Installing your new lawn is straightforward with the right preparation.

Quick Steps:

Prepare the base – Clear the area of turf, weeds, and debris. Compact the ground with a sub-base for stability.
Lay a membrane – Add a weed barrier (and optional foam underlay) for a smooth, clean finish.
Roll out the grass – Unroll, let it settle, and trim edges neatly with a sharp knife. Keep pile direction the same.
Join & secure – Use seam tape and adhesive for joins. Fix edges with pins or edging every 10–15cm.
Brush & finish – Brush fibres upright and rinse down to settle the surface.

Tips:

Always order enough in one batch for colour consistency.
Ensure slight slope away from buildings for drainage.
Regular brushing keeps your lawn looking fresh.

Cutting Guide

Grass is cut to 2 & 4m lengths
Rolls are up to 25m long (Residential only) and cut to the nearest 0.5m on the length. – For sports grass length please enquire at admin@astrolondon.co.uk

£59 delivery charge on mainland UK orders.

Returns & Refunds

On bespoke orders that are cut to size, we reserve the right to not accept returns for Artificial Grass.

Any cut to size products that are accepted for return are subject to the following conditions:

Proof of purchase.
Collection fee of a minimum £35 (Or the same as the delivery charge if the delivery charge is greater).
Re-stocking fee which of 25% of the order value.
Products returned must be, unused & undamaged.

Any unused items such as, full uncut rolls or accessories may be returned within 5 days of purchase. Collection charge will be applicable.

Non bespoke items that are accepted for return within 7 days of purchase and are subject to the following conditions:

A collection or delivery charge – minimum £35 (Or the same as the delivery charge if the delivery charge is greater).
The item is unused and undamaged
You have proof of purchase

Damaged or Faulty Product

Goods received should be fully rolled out and inspected before use. Any faulty, damaged, or incorrect goods should be reported to our sales team.

Please note: Products that have colour variation due to the product being manufactured in batches and this is not a fault.

Please ensure this is thoroughly checked before installation. Do not fit or use the product in anyway as you will then be liable for the costs and liable for keeping the goods. If the goods have not been used, we will offer an exchange, as appropriate.

We suggest that you do not schedule any installation work until a few days after receiving the delivery if you are using a contractor to carry out the works. This will enable you to check the goods and resolve any technical issues prior to their arrival. Please take a moment to check the details on the order confirmation, to ensure the correct products have been ordered.

The 40mm sports grass is our FIFA approved 3G sports grass. Installed with the correct pad and infill, this grass meets the FIFA approved pitch regulations. AstroLondons 40mm sports grass provides a professional football experience. The surface provides accurate ball bounce, ball roll & slide factors making the surface the perfect companion to both training and official match scenarios. In order to ensure that the 40mm sports grass meets performance requirements and fulfils all expectations it must be installed as a system, this system includes the shock pad, the turf and installation supervision from AstroLondon. This product also passes FIH National standards and is suitable for curriculum hockey.
